Hi, I'm Trayce

WHERE I COME FROM

I grew up in a military family – a career Army father and a family of veterans. In addition to a deep sense of patriotism and respect for those who serve our country, I have a strong sense of discipline, structure, and desire to serve others. I, myself, served as a U.S. Air Force nurse.

I am married to Jeff Snow - a lifelong Alexandrian. With Jeff at my side, Alexandria has been my home for 25 years. As well, my mother and son call Alexandria home. I look forward to continuing to give back to this community.

A THRIVING CAREER

My time as a U.S. Air Force nurse began upon graduation from the University of Kansas (nursing) in 1985. In 2008, I graduated from Louisiana State University at Alexandria (communication studies). This lead me to The Rapides Foundation where I spent 12 years honing my skills in communications, community and project building, budget oversight, and board participation. I retired from the Foundation as the Senior Program Officer for the Healthy Behaviors and Healthcare Access Initiatives.

Currently, I serve on the boards of the Alexandria Museum of Arts, the Louisiana Partnership for the Arts, the Friends of the Rapides Library, and am volunteering with the Adult Literacy Initiative, a new program of the Rapides Parish Library. Recent past board service includes the Greater Alexandria Economic Authority (GAEDA), Glass Act Recycling, and the advisory council of the Good Food Project at the Food Bank of Central Louisiana.

MISSION STATEMENT:

Equity Meets Opportunity

As a proud member of our community, I am running for city council to champion equity in city services, programming, and public resources across all five districts.

I believe in fostering open communication, promoting public transparency, and supporting constructive cooperation with our city administration. My goal is to ensure every resident, regardless of district or background, has equitible and fair access to essential services, enriching programs, and vital public resources.

By prioritizing equity, we can address disparities, empower underserved communities, and create a safer, more inclusive environment where everyone can thrive. Together with our city administration, my aim is implementation of policies and initiatives promoting fairness and opportunity for all.

With your support, I am committed to leveraging my experience and compassion to uphold integrity, foster unity, and ensure sustainable growth and prosperity for Alexandria.
